Main Usage: Control high cholesterol levels


Indications:
Simcard is a medication used to lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglyceride levels in blood. Simcard can be used along with a low cholesterol and low fat diet and good exercise.

Simcard (Simvastatin) may be used in certain adolescent patients, who have a genetically caused cholesterol problem.

Simcard works by blocking an enzyme that produces cholesterol for the body. Simcard is not a cure for high cholesterol, but it can help to control your cholesterol level and help to reduce the risk of having heart problems and stroke.


Simcard is available in two dosages:

- Simcard 10 (Simvastatin 10mg)
- Simcard 20 (Simvastatin 20mg)


Dosage:
Take Simcard orally with or without foold.

Take Simcard exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

The recommended dose of Simcard for adults is 10mg to 20mg a day once in the evening.


Side Effects:
Common side effects of Simcard may include muscle pain, tenderness, weakness, fever, flu symptoms, mild stomach pain, bloating, heartburn, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, etc.


Precautions:
Consult your doctor before taking Simcard if you have any medical history of liver disease, kidney disease, severe infection, low thyroid function, heart disease or allergies.

Simcard may increase your risk for liver problems.

During the treatment with Simcard, grapefruit juice may increase your risk for serious side effects.

Do not take Simcard if you are allergic to Simvastatin.

Consult your doctor before taking Simcard, if you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant or breast feeding.
